Sarah Ann Mycock

was born in Marple, Cheshire on 24th July 1880

and died on 19th May 1973 in Barnet, London, where she was living with her son Norman.

Cause of death was recorded as Pulmonary Embolism, Congestive Cardiac Failure and Diverticulitis of the colon.

This is Sarah age 18 in 1898.

Sarah married Bertie/Bertis Cheetham on 5th September 1903 in Marple Cheshire.

They had one son Norman. Bertie died from cancer in 1911.

Sarah earned money to keep herself, and her young son Norman, by delivering babies and laying out the dead.



She married Samuel Henry Cox in 1919 in Stockport, Cheshire.

They had two children, William was born in 1920 and Nora in 1923.

Sarah's parents were Edward and Ann Selina Mycock (nee Godber).

They were married in Fairfield, Derbyshire on 12th July 1868.
